Full-stack developer, engineering lead and systems composer.

Coding since age 8. 20+ years professionally. Commodore 64 was where it all started. Mention a language or technology – go on. There’s a good chance I’ve shipped something with it.

This could be annoying. Clients seem to find it useful.

How I think

My background spans the full stack in the truest sense: AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, front-end architecture, mobile applications, database design, API engineering and DevOps.

PHP, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Vue, Symfony, Django, Node.js and more – the right tool for the job, not the most familiar one.

What I enjoy most is the architectural side – designing systems that are clean, robust and don’t fall apart when requirements change.

I’ve led development teams, run R&D programmes, hired and let go of people, scoped projects for tender and rebuilt broken engineering processes from scratch.

I can talk to a CTO about infrastructure and explain a DNS issue to a non-technical client in a single sentence. Both matter.

Before software

Before any of this, I led cross-trade construction teams of 30-40 people across Europe – electricians, mechanical engineers, programmers – in English, German and Italian.

Real deadlines. Real consequences. Once relocated an entire production line from Austria to Bosnia in three months, where disassembly order dictated reassembly order and one late truck could stall everything.

That’s where the instinct for sequencing, dependencies, and what failure actually costs comes from. Software just made the stakes less physical.

These days

Running a self-hosted, multi-model AI pipeline for my own development work – planner, architect and coder models, orchestrated locally. Zero API cost, zero data leaving the machine.

Same instinct as everything else here: understand the whole stack, don’t just consume someone else’s black box.
